Issues and attempted murder

Shruthi married Ambarish 20 years ago after falling in love. The couple had two children. They were living in a rented house on lease in Hanumanthnagar.

Over time, Ambarish allegedly became unhappy with Shruthi’s behaviour, and the couple began facing compatibility issues, sources said. Due to this, Shruthi moved out and had been staying at her brother’s house since April this year.

They also had disputes over lease money. Shruthi had even filed a complaint at the Hanumanthnagar Police Station regarding this.

On 3 July, the couple reportedly reconciled and decided to live together again. However, shockingly, the very next day, 4 July, the husband allegedly attacked Shruthi.

After the children left for college, he reportedly sprayed pepper spray on her and attempted to kill her with a knife.

He stabbed her in the ribs, thigh, and neck. In a brutal, cinematic-style attack, he is said to have grabbed her hair and banged her head against the wall in an attempt to murder her.
