‘We are with the Indian armed forces’

Meanwhile, Home Minister G Parameshwar said that Tiranga Yatra is symbolic message to our armed forces that the country stands in solidarity.

“We would like to send out a message saying that we are with Indian armed forces. Whatever action you have taken, it’s appreciated and praised. This rally has been organised to say that symbolically.”

He further urged people to excise caution while posting information related to the tensions on social media.

“Some social media pages are posting old pictures of the attack. While we don’t have all the exact details, we have received a message from the Government of India stating that sharing old images misleads the public. I appeal to social media users not to post such unverified and misleading information,” the home minister noted.

Minister for Law HK Patil, who was also present at the yatra said, “This Tiranga Yatra conveys our moral support and appreciation for our armed forces. They have succeeded and shown the world that India is the strongest and the most intelligent force in the world. Since Pakistan escalated on Thursday, we are not keeping quiet. We are not in favour of escalation, but we will not keep quiet if they escalate. We will make suitable decision and fight back.”
