Bengaluru Rural District Commissioner on Saturday, 30 August, imposed a ban on bursting firecrackers or any explosive substances during Ganesha idol installation and immersion processions, religious events, political functions or any other public gathering in the district.
The ban comes a day after a minor boy was killed and six others were injured when firecrackers exploded during a Ganesha idol immersion procession in Mutthur village in Doddaballapur.
