Several congress leaders raided

The raids come amid a broader investigation into alleged money laundering involving several Congress leaders in the state.

Last month, on 25 April, the ED raided properties linked to Congress MLA Vinay Kulkarni over allegations involving a woman accused of defrauding a jeweller of several crores of rupees.

Kulkarni has denied wrongdoing, claiming he is being harassed by the agency.

The ED is also probing the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) scam, in which Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and his wife have been named as accused. The chief minister has condemned the agency’s actions, labelling them as “political vendetta.”
