Synopsis: The Karnataka Police arrested a delivery agent in Bengaluru for allegedly molesting a Brazilian model. The accused, who has been identified as Kumar by the police, is pursuing a diploma in engineering and was working part-time as a delivery agent.
The Karnataka Police arrested a delivery agent in Bengaluru for allegedly sexually assaulting a Brazilian model. The incident took place at her home located in the RT Nager area on 17 October but was only reported to the police on 25 October.
The accused was booked under Sections 75(1) and 76 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and was later remanded to judicial custody.
According to the FIR, the survivor had arrived in the city on an employment visa. She had ordered groceries through a delivery app.

The accused, who has been identified as Kumar by the police, is pursuing a diploma in engineering and was working part-time as a delivery agent with Blinkit. He arrived at her apartment to deliver the order. The woman was alone in her first-floor flat, which she shared with three other foreign nationals.
When she went to collect the delivery, Kumar allegedly touched her inappropriately. The woman managed to push him away and lock the door before he could enter.
The survivor did not immediately file a complaint but, days later, confided in her friends. It was her employer, Karthik, who approached the RT Nagar police and filed a complaint on her behalf.
The CCTV footage supported the survivor’s allegations. Her employer, upon verifying the surveillance footage, approached the police.
JC Nagar Sub-Division ACP Tanveer Sait said, “We received a complaint from the Brazilian model on Saturday, and within a few hours we apprehended the accused from his residence.” The ACP also added, “We booked him under sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. He was produced before the ACMM court on Sunday and remanded to judicial custody for 14 days.”
It is also reported that the accused has been removed from his position by the delivery platform.
