CM Siddaramaiah to hold finance and administration classes for legislators
Many legislators reportedly lack basic understanding of financial terms, affecting their participation in budget discussions. The initiative aims to improve legislative engagement and House proceedings
For the first time, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will conduct closed-door classes for MLAs and MLCs on state finances, administration, and legislative procedures during the monsoon session starting 11 August. Assembly Speaker UT Khader said Siddaramaiah’s vast experience—having presented 16 budgets—makes him an ideal resource person.

The Speaker is also planning future sessions on IT and cyber issues, building on a similar workshop held in 2023 for newly elected MLAs.
