BJP state chief and Shikaripura MLA BY Vijayendra said the mask of socialism worn by Siddaramaiah had fallen off and he should resign as the chief minister and “go home”.

Alleges corruption

Vijayendra said that the Congress and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah are mired in corruption, and this protest, led by the BJP and JDS, is now reaching its logical conclusion. The major issues include the Mysuru MUDA scam and the Valmiki Corporation scam.

“Instead of stepping down from the CM position, Siddaramaiah has resorted to hooliganism. He should stop accusing the Governor and resign immediately,” he said.

“This Congress government is for the corrupt, by the corrupt, and of the corrupt. Come out of the illusion that your high command will save you, and ministers and MLAs will stand by you. Face the law. This thuggery cannot be tolerated. Accept your wrongdoing, resign from the CM post, and face legal action,” he added.

The protests were led by Vijayendra, Opposition Leader in the state Assembly R Ashok, and Legislative Council Opposition Leader Chalavadi Narayanaswamy.

MPs, MLAs, Legislative Council members, former MLAs, and former Legislative Council members of BJP and JD(S) were present. Legislative Council member N Ravikumar hosted the program.
