In response to the BJP’s disciplinary action against MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal, B Y Vijayendra took to X, stating, “We have never seen a situation where party elders compromise on such matters. The decision to expel Yatnal is an inevitable step, taken after careful observation by senior leaders. I’ve never filed complaints over incidents within the party’s development. Under the guidance of Sangh elders and party seniors, I move forward with the same resolve as my father, Yediyurappa, who treated everyone with fairness and built the party like a family.”
He further added, “I have not been disheartened by recent incidents, nor have I expressed sorrow, having grown up in an organisation that emphasises dedication, sacrifice, and patience as the foundation of responsibility. While I cannot celebrate the disciplinary action, I view it as unfortunate. My focus remains on politics of trust, working to strengthen the party organisation, even among the most junior workers.”
Vijayendra also emphasised the importance of accepting constructive suggestions from party leaders, writing, “We must unite to remove the anti-people Congress government, entrenched in corruption and nepotism. Let us support Prime Minister Modi’s vision for a developed India and build a prosperous Karnataka, fulfilling the aspirations of our party leaders.”
