Synopsis: A viral video captured ace Indian cricketer Rahul Dravid in a heated exchange with a goods auto-rickshaw driver in Bengaluru. The clip quickly spread across social media, sparking discussions about Bengaluru’s notorious traffic and Dravid’s otherwise unshakable composure.

It seems even Rahul Dravid, the ever-composed “Wall” of Indian cricket, couldn’t withstand Bengaluru’s infamous traffic. He was caught in a heated exchange on Cunningham Road after a goods auto-rickshaw hit his SUV on Tuesday, 4 February.

The rare sight of Dravid in an argument, captured on video, spread like wildfire online, turning into a hilarious commentary on the Karnataka capital’s notorious traffic.

While the video highlights the chaos of the city’s roads, the reactions to it have taken over social media, with fans joking about Dravid’s legendary patience finally meeting its match — Bengaluru’s auto-rickshaws.

‘Indiranagar ka Gunda’

Netizens were also quick to remind people of the viral CRED advertisement named “Indiranagar ka Gunda” featuring Dravid in a similar scenario.

Meanwhile, the Citizens Movement, East Bengaluru, summed up the frustration of many by saying, “Auto Annas are unstoppable — even Rahul Dravid would struggle to outmaneuver them! They squeeze into every possible gap, making Bengaluru’s traffic even more chaotic. For them, traffic rules seem nonexistent!”

For many, it was surreal to see Dravid in such a moment, prompting a user, @AshwinKrm, to post: “Watching Rahul Dravid drive a 1st gen Creta & coming out to beef with an auto driver was not on my list today.”

Others used cricketing metaphors to capture the irony of the situation. @Paarmatma quipped, “Even the great wall Rahul Dravid sir couldn’t escape from the road rage in Bengaluru.”

Meanwhile, Bellam Swathi took it a step further, saying, “Rahul Dravid might have stood like a wall against McGrath or Wasim Akram, but facing Bengaluru auto anna is not possible even for the Wall of China!”

Even politicians joined in on the fun. Former Karnataka chief minister Sadananda Gowda cheekily commented, “Bangalore auto drivers finally found their toughest opponent – The Wall of India! They tested Rahul Dravid’s patience, and for the first time in history… They failed! Full marks to Dravid for handling the situation with his usual class. Some walls just don’t crack.”

Bengaluru’s traffic has long been a subject of memes, but when even “The Wall” finds himself in the middle of a road rage moment, it’s clear: some battles are tougher than Test cricket!
