Police collected the blood samples of over 100 participants after a raid and tests revealed that 86 people tested positive for narcotics.
Actor Hema and Imar Sharif
Actor Hema was arrested on Monday, 3 June in Bengaluru, when she turned up for an investigation into the rave party case — a birthday party organised in a farmhouse in Electronic City — where over 85 people, including the Telugu actor, had tested positive for narcotics.
On the same day, the Central Crime Branch (CCB) of the Bengaluru police also arrested Imar Sharif for allegedly supplying various drugs to the party. With this, police have arrested at least six people involved in the party so far.
In the wee hours of 19 May, the CCB raided a farmhouse on the outskirts of the city and seized ‘Ecstacy’ pills, MDMA crystals, hydro cannabis, cocaine, high-end cars, and DJ equipment, including sound and lighting equipment worth ₹1.5 crore.
There were more than 100 attendees from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Bengaluru, including over 25 young women. People who attended the party included DJs, models, actors, and techies.
After the raid in Electronic City, police collected the blood samples of the participants in a private hospital, resulting in 59 men and 27 women testing positive for narcotics.
A case was originally registered at Bengaluru Rural’s Hebbagodi Police Station but it was later transferred to the CCB.

“Most of the people who attended the party were consuming drugs. The Central Crime Branch will issue notices to those who tested positive,” a police source had said earlier.
Confirming actress Hema tested positive for narcotics, police sources told South First anonymously on 23 May, “Actor Hema was put under narcotics test along with 103 others. Of the total, 86 people including Hema tested positive for narcotics.”
The event conducted between 5 pm (18 May) and 6 am (19 May) was said to be a birthday party organised by a Hyderabad-based individual named Vasu.
The party was estimated to cost ₹50 lakh a day, sources said. Vasu and a few others were arrested in the week following the raid.
During the investigation, police officials confirmed the presence of a vehicle with the MLA pass of Andhra Pradesh Minister K Govardhan Reddy and said that neither the minister nor his men were present at the party.
Additionally, more than 15 luxury cars were also parked on the premises.
