BioAsia 2023 has announced the speaker line-up to discuss Life Science’s learnings, challenges, and opportunities after Covid-19.

BioAsia is an international business convention promoted by the Government of Telangana in partnership with the Government of India and the Federation of Asian Biotech Associations.

The 20th celebratory edition of Telangana’s flagship annual convention, BioAsia 2023, is scheduled to take place on 24-26 February in Hyderabad with the theme “Advancing for ONE: Shaping the next generation of humanised healthcare”.

The three-day forum will feature global leaders, scientists, regulatory body representatives, industry associations, and academia, among others.

Moving back to an in-person format, Asia’s largest life-sciences and healthcare forum is expected to witness the participation of some of the most renowned and influential global leaders.

Over the course of the three days, prominent industry leaders, scientists, researchers, and entrepreneurs are expected to come together to discuss humanising healthcare and hold constructive discussions on how cross-sectional ecosystems can be integrated, how disruptive technologies can be best utilised, and how we can drive quality healthcare with accessibility and affordability at the forefront in the near future.

These speakers will reportedly highlight the growing role of India in the global life sciences market and also deliberate on the opportunities and challenges for India as the companies look to scale further heights.

A platform for global leaders

Commenting on the presence of the Lifesciences industry at BioAsia 2023, Telangana IT E&C, MA&UD Minister KT Rama Rao said in a statement, “Telangana has been playing a significant role in strengthening the positioning of the country in the worldwide life sciences industry. Several key global players have been leveraging the ecosystem provided by the state by setting up their operations in the state.”

He added: “BioAsia has created a legacy by providing a platform for global leaders to deliberate on healthcare’s key requirements over the last 20 years. I am confident that the world will continue to hear and learn from the brilliant minds at the conference.”

Telangana Industries & Commerce Department Principal Secretary Jayesh Ranjan said: “Over the last 20 years, BioAsia has hosted over 20,000 B2B, B2R, and R2R meetings that led to strategic business deals, making Telangana the life sciences capital of the world.”

He added: “Over 250 Lols, Bilateral Cooperation agreements, and MoUs were signed and more than 30 knowledge papers and policy recommendations were also implemented. The 20th edition is likely to contribute to a significant amount of collaboration among all the key stakeholders for the development of the healthcare industry.”
