Karnataka

If you are in IT city during New Year’s week, much is happening in Bengaluru this new year, including DJ parties, fun games, and getaways.

The Karnataka government has mandated masks in crowded places and announced guidelines for new year celebrations. Make sure to follow the guidelines.

XU Leela Palace in Bengaluru is hosting a “One Night in Paris” theme party or the “Aura Edition 3.0” at Courtyard Marriott. The entry fee for both events is ₹2,499 each.

If you are looking for more pocket-friendly places, head over to the Euphoria New Year’s Eve party where they have a massive lineup of more than 10 artists and a celebrity guest appearance by Sunil Grover.

The tickets cost ₹1,099, which includes a multi-cuisine buffet and several entertainment options.

If you are looking for something more peaceful and less noisy, drive to Mysuru and visit the tourist attractions like Mysuru palace or the Chamundi hills.

If you are a beach person, visit beaches in and around Udupi, Gokarna, Murdeshwara, and Karwar for their serene beauty and exquisite temples.

Telangana

Hyderabad, for the first time, is hosting the “Paris-theme New Year’s Eve Party” at Taj Deccan.

The price starts at ₹1,200 and it’s the perfect event to attend with your family.

At the Meridian Cricket Ground in Madhapur, dance your night away at an open-air venue for just ₹499.

The Prism Club & Kitchen is hosting Circus 2.0, featuring artists like EDM music producer Nucleya and Techno DJ Rabz. The prices for the tickets start at ₹4,000.

If you are new to the city, this would be a great time to witness the light show at Golconda Fort.

If you are one with nature, pack your overnight bags and head to the stunning hilly terrains like Nallamala Hills or Ananthagiri Hills for their breathtaking scenic beauty.

Andhra Pradesh

Visakhapatnam is ringing in 2023 a little differently this year, with unlimited Gokarting along with full-night Adventure DJ Night at A Square Gokarting.

The Mantris Hotel at Visakhapatnam is hosting a Welcome New Year party with unlimited food and drinks.

But the state also has several caves to explore, including India’s second longest ones — the Belum caves.

This coastal state also has many small towns near the beaches known for their serene beauty and good local food.

The state is also home to various temples which are known for their architectural structures and history.

Tamil Nadu

Le Royal Meridian at Chennai is hosting the biggest event of the year with three different themes: a ballroom party, a pool party, and a nightclub party.

You can choose what suits you the best. Prices vary, depending on the theme of the party you choose.

But if the Bollywood theme is your calling, head over to Greams, Radisson Blu Hotel, for their Bollywood Carnival which starts at just ₹1,999.

If you are one for trekking and visiting historic heritage sites, visit Arittapatti village near Madurai, which was recently declared a heritage site by the government.

The neighbouring rocky hills are home to ancient and medieval monuments of great historical interest and value.

Kerala

The annual Kochi carnival is a must-attend if you are in Kerala during the holiday season. It includes a massive procession with music, dance, concert, elephant parades, and so much more.

Celebrate the new year at Kumbalngi with varieties of seafood refreshments entertainment fun and more.

The state has an abundance of Malabar coastal beaches and backwaters boating to offer, along with wildlife reserves and the Western Ghats making it an ultimate destination for bringing in your New Year.
