Grand Mercure Bengaluru’s ‘Legend of Sindh’ is a week-long culinary ode to Sindhi heritage

Curated by Suresh Hinduja, the Sindhi Food Festival will celebrate the rich culinary heritage of the cuisine until 3 December.

The Sindhi cuisine bears the influences of ancient and modern cultures from Central Asia, Iran, and Northwest India. Rooted in the Indus Valley Civilisation, this culinary heritage boasts a harmonious fusion of diverse flavours.

Sindhi food festival

Grand Mercure Bengaluru at Gopalan Mall will bring this heritage to the plate by hosting a meticulously curated Sindhi Food Festival, Legend of Sindh – Past, Present, and Future, until 3 December at La Utsav.

Culinary expert Suresh Hinduja, founder of the social media platform gourmetindia.com, has overseen the arrangement.

Culinary heritage

The festival will showcase iconic Sindhi dishes such as Sindhi Kadhi, Sai Bhaji, Sindhi Biryani, and Koki, offering patrons an authentic and delightful gastronomic adventure.

“Sindhi cuisine is a celebration of life, tradition, and community. It is a forgotten cuisine that deserves more recognition and appreciation. Through this festival, we aim to offer a surprising take on Sindhi cuisine. It will be an experience that will leave a lasting impression on your culinary perception,” shared Hinduja.
