Synopsis: The opening seven days (14-20 August) will transform the St John’s campus into a lively cultural precinct, featuring an eclectic lineup of performances, BBLF Book World, and a vibrant flea and handicrafts market.
The third edition of the Book Brahma Literature Festival (BBLF) will be held at St John’s Auditorium in Bengaluru’s Koramangala from 14 to 23 August.
The 10-day extravaganza will bring together literature and the performing arts in a celebration of creativity.
The opening seven days (14-20 August) will transform the St John’s campus into a lively cultural precinct, featuring an eclectic lineup of performances, BBLF Book World, and a vibrant flea and handicrafts market, the organisers said in a statement.
Live musical performances by Shilpa Mudubi, Ramachandra Hadapad and Ensemble, and Sunidhi Ganesh with the Gig Man Live Band will be the highlights of the evenings of 14, 15 and 16, respectively.

The festival’s signature literary programme will run from 21 to 23 August, bringing together
readers, writers, and thinkers from across India for three days of conversations, debates,
and literary discovery.
Spread across nine parallel venues, the festival will host more than 200 curated sessions
over three days. More than 400 writers, intellectuals, artists, publishers, booksellers, and subject experts representing Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and English literature will participate in discussions spanning literature, society, culture, translation, publishing, and the arts.

A series of five special cultural events will complement the literary sessions.
August 21
6:30 pm: A conversation with filmmaker Natesh Hegde, followed by a special screening of his acclaimed film Vaghachipani.

8:30–9:50 am: Sitar recital by Rafi Khan and Shafi Khan.
6:30–8:30 pm: Carnatic vocal concert by TS Satyavathi and ensemble.
August 23
8:30–9:50 am: Hindustani classical concert by Aniruddh Aithal and ensemble.
6:30–9:30 pm: Yakshagana Performance: Presented by the Shri Jnanashakti Subrahmanyaswamy Kripaposhita Yakshagana Troupe, Nagavruja Kshetra, Pavanje, under the leadership of Patla Satish Shetty.
Admission to all literary sessions, cultural performances, discussions, exhibitions, and
festival activities across the 10 days is free of charge.
