Dil Raju buys the rights of Animal in the Telugu States

The buzz around Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal has picked up pace on a steady note in Telugu states, thanks to its captivating trailer. Had it been a straight Telugu film rolling out from Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the expectations from audiences would have been a notch higher.

Prominent producer Dil Raju is betting big on Animal. It is learnt that he has spent ₹15 crore for the rights in the two Telugu states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

Under any given circumstances, the said amount is a huge sum for a Hindi film. But the X factor here is director Sandeep Reddy Vanga.

Arguably, the content of the film and the buzz from the first look to the teaser to the trailer, everything added to the hype for Animal in the process.

Considering the equations and the craze that the director has all over the country post-Arjun Reddy and Kabir Singh (2019), Dil Raju took a brave step to buy Animal for ₹15 crore.

Animal, an action thriller, features Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead. Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Parineeti Chopra, Bipin Karki, Aman Rajput, and Raghav Binani are playing key roles.

Animal explores a complex father-son relationship set against a backdrop of extreme bloodshed in the underworld. The film is produced jointly by T-Series, Cine1 Studios, and Bhadrakali Pictures.
