Watchlist: Gear up for love stories, dramas & suspense thrillers in Kannada this November

Yet another politician's son is debuting in Sandalwood; no major star-driven project this month except Golden Star Ganesh's 'Tribble Riding'.

It is going to be a busy outing for Sandalwood, with at least 10 movies lined up for release this month.

However, apart from Golden Star Ganesh, no other star films are releasing in theatres in the coming weeks.

Let’s check the list:

Banaras

Congress MLA Zameer Ahmed Khan’s son Zaid Khan is foraying into films with Banaras.

It has been written and directed by Jatyatheertha of Beautiful Manasugalu and Bell Bottom fame.

Zaid is paired with Sonal Monteiro. B Ajaneesh Lokanath scored the music and Advaitha Gurumurthy handled the cinematography.

Another pan-India movie from Sandalwood, Banaras is set for release on 4 November in Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.

Kamblihula

Revolving around a teenage love story, Kamblihuli (meaning caterpillar) marks the directorial debut of Navan Srinivasan. He has penned the story, screenplay and dialogues as well.

Srinivasan is paired opposite Anjan Nagendra and Ashwitha Hegde in the flick.

Set in Malnad, the film’s music is scored by Shivaprasad. It releases on 4 November.

Tribble Riding

Golden Star Ganesh is up for a Tribble Riding on the big screen alongside Aditi Prabhudeva and newbies Megha Shetty and Rachana Inder.

The comedy-drama also has an ensemble cast, including Sadhu Kokila, Rangayana Raghu, Ravi Shankar Gowda, Kuri Pratap, Umesh, and Dingri Nagaraj.

S Mahesh Gowda is the director. The movie is yet to get a release date.

Raana

After his average debut with Paddehuli, Shreyas Manju, the son of noted film producer K Manju, is back with Raana. Nanda Kishore is the director.

A full-fledged commercial venture, the movie also features Reshma Nanaiah, who recently debuted with director Prem’s Ek Love Ya.

Kannada rapper and composer Chandan Shetty scored the music. Gujjal Purushottam is the producer. Raana will hit the screens on 11 November.

Raymo

After delivering hits like Govindaya Namaha, Googly, Rana Vikrama, and Natasarvabhouma, director Pavan Wadeyar is returning with Raymo. It stars Ishan and Ashoka Ranganath.

Produced by CR Manohar, Raymo also features Madhoo, Sarathkumar, Achyuth Kumar, and Rajesh Nataranga in supporting roles.

Shot in multiple foreign locations, the film has music scored by Arjun Janya. Vaidy S is the cinematographer. It is releasing on 25 November.

Few more up for release

In the queue are a few more flicks:

  • Dr Rajah Balakrishna’s September 13, starring Chintan Rao, Sreya Ridhiban, and Ivan Nigil is releasing on 4 November.
  • Shiva Tejass’ Dil Pasand, which is hitting the theatres on 11 November, stars Darling Krishna, Megha Shetty, and Nishvika Naidu.
  • Milana Nagara’s O is also releasing on 11 November, and so is Yellow Gangs 11, directed by Ravindra Param Eshwarappa.
  • Santosh Srikantappa’s directorial Khasagi Putagalu, starring debutant Leonilla DSouza is up for release on 18 November.
  • Achyutha Kumar-starrer Saddu Vichara Nediyuttide is releasing on 25 November.
