Even as the month of July came to an end with Ravi Teja’s mediocre show in Ramarao On Duty, the movie-buffs are eagerly looking forward to a few big-budget films scheduled to hit the silver screens this August.
Featuring Dulquer Salmaan, Mrunal Thakur and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles, Sita Ramam is directed by Hanu Ragahvapudi and produced by Ashwini Dutt, under Vyjayanthi Movies.
The movie’s trailer evoked a tremendous response from both the audiences and the celebrities.
In the film, Dulquer is seen playing an army officer (Ram) and Mrunal as his love interest (Sita). Rashmika has a key role in this epic love story.
Sumanth, Tharun Bhascker, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Murali Sharma, Vennela Kishore and Bhumika Chawla are part of this film. It is up for release on 5 August.

This periodic drama is said to be based on the life of Magadha king named Bimbisara. The film stars Kalyan Ram, Samyuktha Menon and Catherine Tresa in lead roles.
Kalyan Ram will be seen after a gap of four years and expectations are already running high.
Bimbisara, directed by Vashistha and produced under NTR Arts banner, will be released on 5 August. The makers recently announced that there will be a sequel in future.

Nikhil and Anupama Parameswaran paired up with each other for the first time in Karthikeya 2, which is a sequel to Karthikeya (2014).
Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, the film is produced by Abhishek Agarwal. It is a mystery thriller featuring Anupam Kher in a crucial role. The film was announced in 2017 and is finally hitting the big screens on 13 August.

Starring Nithiin and Krithi Shetty in lead roles, Macherla Niyojakavargam is an action thriller focusing on the political issues (fictional) in Macherla.
It features Samuthirakani as the antagonist and Anjali in a special song. MS Rajasekhar Reddy is the director and Nikitha Reddy is the producer.
Nithiin underwent a huge transformation for his role in this project, which will be released on 12 August.

There has been a lot of buzz going around Vijay Deverakonda’s Liger. His bare-it-all poster holding a bunch of roses, for the film not only broke the internet but also became the talk of the town.
The actor trended for over 24 hours on social media with hashtags like #VijayDeverakonda, #HottestManAlive, etc. Further, Liger became the first Indian movie poster to get the fastest 1 million likes in just four hours on Instagram.
A directorial venture of Puri Jagannadh, Liger has Vijay playing a young boxer from the slums of Mumbai. Ramya Krishna will be seen as his on-screen mother and Ronit Roy as his coach.
International boxing legend Mike Tyson is playing a key role in it. The movie is all set to hit the theatres on 25 August.
