Writer and director Jadesh Kumar Hampi who has penned the story and the screenplay of Kaatera (2023), will be collaborating with his next venture with Duniya Vijay.
Jadesh K Hampi announced the project — temporarily titled VK29 (Vijaya Kumar 29) — on the occasion of Vijay Kumar’s (Duniya Vijay) birthday on Saturday, 20 January.
Jadesh K Hampi, who directed the critically acclaimed Kannada film Guru Shishyaru (2022), later penned the story and screenplay for Kaatera along with Tharun Sudhir Kishore.
Starring Challenging Star Darshan in the lead, Kaatera reportedly crossed ₹200 crore at the box office. It is based on a real-life incident that is set in the late 1970s.
The poster of VK29 features a striking image of a dog and a tiger with the caption “Idu aalidavara kathe alla, alidu ulidavara kathe” (this is not the story of those who ruled but the story of those who survived even after perished).
It is learnt that Duniya Vijay’s elder daughter Monika too is acting in VK29. Vijay and Monika, the real-life father-daughter, would play father and daughter in the movie, too.
Meanwhile, on Duniya Vijay’s birthday, the teaser of Bheema was released. Bheema is written and directed by the actor himself. He is playing the lead role in it.
The teaser of Bheema has already garnered millions of views.
