Vineeth Sreenivasan reveals he was offered a role in Vijay's 'GOAT'

Malayalam actor-director Vineeth Sreenivasan has revealed that Tamil filmmaker Venkat Prabhu offered him a role in his upcoming film GOAT (Greatest of All Times), headlined by Thalapathy Vijay.

But Vineeth could not accept the offer as he was busy with his forthcoming directorial Varshangalkku Shesham.

In an interview with a YouTube channel, Vineeth Sreenivasan disclosed that he had to turn down Venkat Prabhu’s offer in GOAT as he was caught up with Varshangalkku Shesham. However, the Tamil director assured him they could work sometime later on another project.

“I would have accepted the role in GOAT if I was only acting in Varshangalkku Shesham. But being a director is a different game and a difficult task, too,” Vineeth quipped.

Interestingly, in a previous interview, the Malayalam actor revealed that he was greatly influenced by Venkat Prabhu’s Saroja (2008) and Chennai 600028 (2007).

Leo was a superhit in Kerala. It earned ₹50 crore at the Malayalam box office.

The character was later offered to Kalesh Ramanand.

Meanwhile, Varshangalkku Shesham has an ensemble cast, including Pranav Mohanlal, Dhyan Sreenivasan, Nivin Pauly, Aju Varghese, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Basil Joseph, and Neeraj Madhav.

It is slated for release on 11 April.
