The only good thing is the presence of Anant Nag in the lead role and the return of real-life couple Diganth-Aindrita Ray to the big screen.

Thimayya and Thimayya (Kannada)
What has feni, a popular traditional liquor distilled from the fermented juice of cashew apples from Goa, got to do with the movie Thimayya and Thimayya?
If that’s the question bothering you after reading the headline, take a moment to read the review to know a detailed explanation.
Before we crack the “feni” connection, let me share the gist of the comedy/family drama directed by Sanjay Sharma, which plods on for two-and-a-half hours.
In short, it is about the connection between the senior Thimayya, played by versatile senior actor Anant Nag, and the Junior Thimayya (Vinci), played by Diganth.
What connects them at the end is the crux of the movie, which is laced with some family and human values.
To start with, Vinci Thimayya, after failing in multiple business ventures, decides to ultimately settle in life by marrying his fiancé Soumya, portrayed by Shubhra Aiyappa.
Yes, it’s the same actor who featured alongside Shivarajkumar in the hit number No Problem, sung by Tamil actor Dhanush for the film Vajrakaya.
Before he (Vinci) heads to Lisbon to start a seafood venture along with his fiancé, he has to sell a few properties inherited from his father, and they happen to include a decades-old cafe run by the senior Thimayya.
His uncle agrees to give away the cafe, but with one condition: Vinci has to take care of his father for a few months before he leaves India.
Our film Thimayya & Thimayya releases tomorrow. We are so excited to share this beautiful film with all you beautiful people. Please go to the theatres and watch our movie . We appreciate all the love and support ❤️ @diganthmanchale pic.twitter.com/csodn1ya4z

The film lacks major entertaining aspects. I must say, neither a senior actor like Anant Nag nor the younger lot — including Diganth and Aindrita — lift it till the end, thanks to an unimpressive script.
The tantrums of the senior and the not-so-funny scenes make this a laborious experience.
Only Anant Nag and Diganth along with Aindrita Ray make some sense out of this slow-paced, outdated, and unfunny film.
Still willing to give it a try for the sake of Anant Nag? Better go prepared with loads of patience and some plans to kill time.
Popcorn, munchies, and drinks might be of some help!
As for feni, it’s one of the many tantrums of the senior Thimayya, which he prefers to drink during certain times of the year.
More such painfully not-so-hilarious sequences are packed to the fullest in the film, and that’s all folks!
