Actor Vijay Deverakonda’s next, tentatively titled VD12 is one of the most anticipated films of the actor. While the team has not revealed much about the project, the producer of the film Naga Vamsi gave an update recently.
In a recent interview, the producer speaking about the film revealed that the project will be of two parts.
He said, “We planned the film as a two-part story from the beginning. We didn’t split it randomly or dilute the first part. The film is designed as a two-part franchise. If you watch the first part, you’ll be satisfied with the story. Even if the second part isn’t made, you won’t feel incomplete. Both parts have their own complete, separate stories.”

Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, the film is billed as a spy action thriller. The shooting is underway. Filmmaker Trivikram’s wife Sai Soujanya is co-producing it. The film also stars Bhagyashri Borse in the lead role.
Music sensation Anirudh Ravichander is composing the songs and background score for VD12. It will feature cinematography by renowned cinematographer Girish Gangadharan, marking his Telugu debut. Navin Nooli, who won a National Film Award for Best Editing for Gowtam’s Jersey, will serve as the editor.
Vijay Deverakonda is struggling to score a hit, with his last film Family Star (2024) being a massive flop. Despite this, the Arjun Reddy (2017) actor continues to sign films. He has three projects lined up, including a period drama directed by Rahul Sankrityan, who previously directed him in the hit Taxiwaala (2018).
