The intense first look of Vijay Deverakonda’s upcoming Telugu movie, VD12, has created quite a buzz on the internet. It also raised expectations among fans for the action entertainer.

The makers unveiled the first-look poster of VD12 on Friday, 2 August, which is trending on X. They also announced the release date of the flick—28 March 2025.

The first look of VD12 features Vijay Deverakonda screaming his lungs out while looking at the sky on a rainy night. The actor sports short hair and a beard. It says the title will be announced this month.

Sharing the poster and the release date on his social media handles, producer S Naga Vamsi of Sithara Entertainments promised that VD12 would bring the “rowdy” (Vijay Deverakonda as he is fondly called) back to his form.

Vijay Deverakonda also shared the poster. He wrote on X: “His Destiny awaits him. Mistakes. Bloodshed. Questions. Rebirth. 28 March, 2025. #VD12.”

Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, the film is billed as a spy action thriller. The shooting is underway. Filmmaker Trivikram’s wife Sai Soujanya is co-producing it.

Music sensation Anirudh Ravichander is composing the songs and background score for VD12. The other details about the cast and crew are yet to be announced. However, rumours are agog that Bhagyashri Borse would play the leading lady in it. The actor is debuting in Telugu with Ravi Teja’s Mr Bachchan, which will hit the screens on 15 August.

Meanwhile, team VD12 is busy shooting the film in Sri Lanka.

VD12 made headlines recently after a few leaked photos from the film sets made their way to social media. Following this, the makers requested the fans not to circulate the pics and instead, wait for official updates.

Apart from VD12, Vijay Deverakonda will next be seen in an untitled flick under the production of Dil Raju. It will launch Ravi Kumar Kola as a director in the Telugu film industry.
