While the action entertainer is titled Kingdom in Tamil and Telugu, it is titled Samarajya in Hindi.
The first look of Kingdom featured Vijay Deverakonda screaming his lungs out while looking at the sky on a rainy night. The actor sports short hair and a beard.
Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, the film is a larger-than-life action thriller. Filmmaker Trivikram’s wife Sai Soujanya is co-producing it. The film also stars Bhagyashri Borse in the lead role.
Music sensation Anirudh Ravichander is composing the songs and background score for Kingdom. It will feature cinematography by renowned cinematographer Girish Gangadharan, marking his Telugu debut. Navin Nooli, who won a National Film Award for Best Editing for Gowtam’s Jersey, will serve as the editor.
Vijay Deverakonda is struggling to score a hit, with his last film Family Star (2024) being a massive flop. Despite this, the Arjun Reddy (2017) actor continues to sign films. He has three projects lined up, including a period drama directed by Rahul Sankrityan, who previously directed him in the hit Taxiwaala (2018).
