Meenakshi Chaudhary and Aishwarya Rajesh join SVC 58

Telugu actor Venkatesh Daggubati is teaming up with director Anil Ravipudi for the third time for SVC 58. Their previous collaborations—F2: Fun and Frustration (2019) and F3: Fun and Frustration (2022)—were superhits.

Meanwhile, SVC 58 will feature Aishwarya Rajesh and Meenakshi Chaudhary (of HIT 2 fame) in significant roles. The makers announced this through social media on 2 July.

It will be bankrolled by Dil Raju and Sirish under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations.

On Wednesday, 3 July, the makers kicked off the project with a grand pooja ceremony, which was attended by a few celebs from the Telugu industry.

In an April announcement video, the team described the film as a “triangular crime entertainer”. Venkatesh is set to portray an ex-police officer caught in a dilemma involving his past girlfriend and wife.

The makers also confirmed that SVC 58 will hit the big screens, as a festival release for Sankranthi 2025.

Venkatesh reflects on his career

In an interview, Venkatesh Daggubati reflected on his career, expressing gratitude for his involvement in diverse genres over the years. He mentioned that he didn’t plan his roles in films like Drushyam (2014) or other significant projects strategically. Instead, he aimed to focus on delivering quality work, while considering the commercial aspects of cinema.

The Telugu star acknowledged facing setbacks but remained thankful for the unwavering support and affection from his audience.

Regarding his recent career choices, Venkatesh Daggubati’s approach seems to lean towards films driven by strong storytelling and screenplay, with opportunities for engaging action sequences.

Meanwhile, Anil Ravipudi’s most recent film was Bhagavanth Kesari (2023), starring Nandamuri Balakrishna and Sreeleela. It faced stiff competition from Thalapathy Vijay’s Leo during its release around Dasara.

The director appears to have returned to the comedy genre, with his latest project.

Sri Venkateswara Creations’ latest release was The Family Star (2024), headlined by Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur. The movie received a lukewarm response from audiences and critics alike.

The Family Star marked Mrunal’s third Telugu film following her roles in Sita Ramam (2022) and Hi Nanna (2023). KU Mohanan served as its cinematographer and Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao as its editor.
