‘Subham’ on OTT: When and where to watch

'Subham' will start streaming on Jio Hotstar from 13 June in Telugu.

A horror-comedy Subham, produced by actor turned produced Samantha Ruth Prabhu under her production house, Tralala Moving Pictures, is now all set to be available for wider audience.

The film will start streaming on Jio Hotstar from 13 June in Telugu. While film did reasonably in theatres, it received critical acclaim.

Sharing the news, they wrote on X: “This June 13th, katha aarambham on JioHotstar. Chacchina choodalsindhe.”

Directed by Praveen Kandregula of Cinema Bandi fame, Subham also featured Harshith Malgireddy, Shriya Kontham, Charan Peri, Shalini Kondepudi, Gavireddy Srinivas and Shravani in pivotal roles.

The film’s crew included cinematographer Mridul Sujit Sen, production designer Ram Charan Tej, and editor Dharmendra Kakarla.

The story of Subham was written by Vasanth Mariganti. The music was composed by Clinton Cerejo, while the background score was crafted by Vivek Sagar.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu in a statement noted earlier, “This project embodies Tralala’s vision of unique, thought-provoking cinema that leaves you wanting more. Over time, we hope it will help audiences recognize content from our Tralala banner. I’m really excited about Shubam and can’t wait for audiences to see our hard work take shape.”

The synopsis of Subham read: “In the quiet town of Bheemili during the early 2000s, a humble cable TV operator marries a sharp, ambitious MBA graduate. Life appears ordinary—until each night at 9 PM, his wife suddenly turns cold, distant, and strangely unfamiliar. As the unsettling behavior repeats, he discovers she’s not alone—other women in the village are affected in the same eerie way.”

Samantha Ruth Prabhu was last seen in the Amazon Prime Original Citadel: Honey Bunny alongside Varun Dhawan. On the big screen, her most recent appearance was in Kushi (2023), where she starred opposite Vijay Deverakonda.
