‘Sarangapani Jathakam’ release delayed again; to release on 25 April

Sarangapani Jathakam release delayed again

Priyadarshi’s upcoming film Sarangapani Jathakam’s  release has been delayed once again. The film, initially slated to release in December 2024, was postponed to 18 April.

Now, less than a week ahead of the release, the makers announced that Mohan Krishna Indraganti’s directorial will hit the screens a week later, on 25 April.

However, the makers did not reveal the reason for the delay. Sharing the new release date, they wrote on X: “A hilarious Telugu film that will entertain people of all ages #SarangapaniJathakam releases on April 25th. A Hilarious Summer Treat Guaranteed in theaters #SPJOnApril25th #MohanaKrishnaIndraganti.”

Roopa Koduvayur is starred opposite Priyadarshi. Produced by Sivalenka Krishna Prasad under Sridevi Movies, the film marks the third collaboration between the filmmaker and producer. They previously worked on Gentleman (2016) and Sammohanam (2018).

Tanikella Bharani, VK Naresh, Avasarala Srinivas, Vennela Kishore, and Viva Harsha are cast in other key roles.

The film boasts music by Vivek Sagar, cinematography by PG Vinda, and editing by Marthand K Venkatesh.

Priyadarshi’s last film Court – State vs A Nobody, had garnered applause from critics and audience, and is now streaming on Netflix.

Court— State vs A Nobody is about a driven attorney who battles a corrupt justice system to defend a young man whose relationship with a 17-year-old girl provokes her ruthless family’s ire. The film dealt with the POCSO law.
