Rishab Shetty part of Prasanth Varma’s ‘Jai Hanuman’

According to the theme song, the movie will focus on Hanuman in Kaliyugam, when he was in exile, owing to a promise made to lord Rama.

Rishab Shetty in Jai Hanuman

Kannada actor Rishab Shetty is now part of Prasanth Varma’s Jai Hanuman as lord Hanuman. With this, Rishab Shetty will be part of the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe.

Jai Hanuman is the next part of the PVCU after the humongous hit Hanu-Man.

With roping in Rishab Shetty for the Hanuman’s role, the makers are trying to woo both the Telugu and Kannada audience.

Rishab Shetty has risen to fame with his last success Kantara (2022), for which he won the National award for Best Actor Male.

The makers made the announcement on Wednesday, 30 October, with a poster featuring Rishab Shetty.

The poster showcased the Kannada actor as Lord Hanuman holding onto an idol of Lord Rama.

Sharing the poster on X, Rishab Shetty wrote: “With the blessings of Anjaneya, the son of Kannada, we have brought the greatest feeling of Indian history to the stage. May your love, support and blessings always remain as usual – Jai Hanuman. A vow from the Tretayuga, bound to be fulfilled in the Kaliyuga. We bring forth an epic of loyalty, courage and devotion.”

Jai Hanuman will be produced by Mythri Movie Makers.

The next day, the makers also released a theme song, on the occasion of Deepavali.

According to the theme song, the movie will focus on Hanuman in Kaliyugam, when he was in exile, owing to a promise made to lord Rama.

The song was sung by Revanth, with lyrics by Kalyan Chakravarthy, and music by Ojas.

Hanu-Man

Prasanth Varma’s directorial Hanu-Man is all about a village lad, who similar to the Hindu god Hanuman discovers his powers and saves his village.

The film was released in the four south Indian languages and Hindi on 12 January, during the Sankranthi. Headlined by Teja Sajja, the film became a superhit surpassing all other star-studded Sankranthi releases.

Hanu-Man was up against Mahesh Babu, Venkatesh, and Nagarjuna — three big stars of Tollywood.

It not only held its own among all four Sankranthi releases but also emerged as the biggest winner.
