Ram Pothineni’s next titled ‘Andhra King Taluka’

Ram Pothineni and Bhagyashree Borse’s film, tentatively titled RAPO 22, now has a title— Andhra King Taluka. The film also has a tagline — A biopic of a fan.

On the occasion of Ram’s birthday, sharing the news on X, the makers wrote: “Starry-eyed, energetic, and has all the love for his hero. Sagar is one of us.”

They also shared a poster of the film, showing Ram in front of a cut out of a hero. The post further adds, “Fans celebrate cinema. But this film will celebrate fans.”

On Tuesday, 13 May, the makers announced that, Kannada actor Upendra was set to star in the film, in the role of a star hero.

The film is being directed by Mahesh Babu P. The director is known for his previous film the 2023 rom-com Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty starring Naveen Polishetty and Anushka Shetty.

Mahesh Babu has also penned the story and screenplay for his film. Apart from Ram Pothineni and Bhagyashree Borse in the lead cast, the film also has other actors like Rahul Ramakrishna, Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, Satya, and VTV Ganesh in the ensemble cast.

Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar are producing the film under the Mythri Movie Makers banner, marking their first project with Ram Pothineni. The technical crew features Avinash Kolla as production designer, Sreekar Prasad as editor, and Siddharth Nuni handling cinematography. Music for the film will be composed by the duo Vivek-Mervin.

While Ram Pothineni was last seen in Double iSmart, Bhagyashree Borse has VD 12 with Vijay Deverakonda, directed by Gautam Tinnanuri, and Kaantha alongside Dulquer Salmaan, apart from this project.
