‘Pushpa: The Rule’ team completes edit of the first half

Pushpa: The Rule the most anticipated release of Tollywood is set to hit the screens on 6 December, 2024.

With just two months left for the release, the makers are doing the post-production work alongside shooting the film.

The Sukumar diretorial has Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles. Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil is set to play a key role in the second part.

The film revolves around Pushpa Raj, a sandalwood smuggler, and his journey to the upper echelons of power.

On Tuesday, 8 October, the makers released an update of the film announcing that the edit of the first half of Pushpa: The Rule is completed.

The Mythri Movie Makers wrote on X: “The first half of #Pushpa2TheRule is locked, loaded, and packed with fire. Get ready to witness history in the making as Pushpa will take the Indian box office by storm. He will ignite a new chapter in Indian Cinema. THE RULE IN CINEMAS on 6th DEC 2024.”

An anticipated sequel

The first instalment, released in 2021, was a massive hit, breaking box office records and resonating with viewers across India and beyond.

Allu Arjun’s portrayal of the defiant Pushpa Raj became a fan favourite, leaving a lasting impact on pop culture with its memorable dialogues, music, and style.

Fahadh Faasil and Rashmika Mandanna also reprise their roles as Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat and Srivalli, respectively, after delivering standout performances in the first film.

Originally scheduled for Independence Day, 15 August, the release date of Pushpa: The Rule was changed, creating some fan tension.

Pushpa: The Rise, dubbed into multiple Indian languages, became the highest-grossing movie of 2021 in India and marked the first time a Telugu actor (Allu Arjun) won the Best Actor award at the National Film Awards.
