After delivering a massive hit with RRR (2022), SS Rajamouli has been prepping for his next venture with Mahesh Babu.
The yet-to-be-titled film is now being referred to as SSMB29. Apart from the lead actor and a few technical crew, much about the film has been kept under wraps.
However, speculations have been rife that Malayalam actor-director Prithviraj Sukumaran is set to join SSMB29 as the antagonist.
Adding to the rumours, the actor recently shared a photo of himself, with the caption: “Finish and hand over film and all marketing assets on your directorial. Get into appearance for your next as an actor. Realise you have long monologues in a language not native to you and start becoming nervous.”

While there has not been an official announcement, Prithviraj’s mother, Mallika Sukumaran, ended the suspense with her comment under the post.
Responding to a user stating that “It was AI and no one should believe it”, Mallika Sukumaran wrote in Malayalam: “No. The next is a Rajamouli film. Has Sincy also started debates without any information? You could have asked me.”
Prithviraj had previously worked with Prabhas in Salaar Part 1. The actor-director is currently gearing up for the release of his directorial Empuraan with Mohanlal.
SSMB29, which is reported to be a jungle adventure drama, is bound to involve a lot of VFX-based action sequences.
It is set to have PS Vinod as its cinematographer. This comes as a surprise as Rajamouli has not opted for his trusted cameraman KK Senthil Kumar this time.
