Prabhas’ ‘Spirit’ to hit the floors by September end: Sandeep Reddy Vanga confirms

Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga shares interesting updates on 'Spirit'

Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga recently in a conversation with actor Vijay Deverakonda and director Gowtam Tinnanuri revealed that his next Spirit, with Prabhas is set to hit the floors by September end.

The trio were promoting Vijay Deverakonda and Gowtam Tinnanuri’s upcoming film Kingdom, which is releasing on 31 July.

The film is a larger-than-life action thriller. Filmmaker Trivikram’s wife Sai Soujanya is co-producing it. The film also stars Bhagyashri Borse in the lead role.

Answering Vijay Deverakonda, who asked for an update on the highly- anticipated film, Sandeep Reddy Vanga said, “It will start by end of September.” He further added that they are planning to shoot the film without any breaks.

According to the director, the storyline of Spirit revolves around a police officer and how he would react when someone close to him faces adversity. Prabhas will portray the role of an upright police officer in the film.

The makers have roped in Tripti Dimri as the female lead for the film.

Sandeep Reddy Vanga had last year started working on the music for the film alongside music director Harshavardhan Rameshwar. The music director had also taken to X, to share the update. He wrote: “Music work just began.”

Other projects

After scoring a massive hit with Kalki 2898 AD, Prabhas is awaiting the release of the horror comedy Raaja Saab.

Apart from Spirit Prabhas also has Salaar 2. The Kannada production house Hombale Films has signed a three-film deal with Prabhas.

Prabhas, who has previously collaborated with Hombale Films for Salaar: Part 1: Ceasefire, will now work on three more films starting with  Salaar 2: Shouranyaanga Parvam directed by Prashanth Neel, which is expected to hit the screens in 2026.

The production house further announced that the other two unannounced films will be set for 2027 and 2028.
