Prabhas launches 'Mathu Vadalara 2' trailer. (Supplied)
The trailer of the Mathu Vadalara 2, set to release on 13 September, was launched recently by the Baahubali star Prabhas.
The crime comedy directed by Ritesh Rana is the sequel to the 2019 hit Mathu Vadalara. With Sri Simha and Faria Abdullah as the lead actors, the film also stars Sunil, Vennela Kishore, and Satya in pivotal roles.
The makers tactfully kept the making of the film under wraps, springing the surprise of the sequel on the audience, garnering huge anticipation.
The trailer was launched by Prabhas in the presence of the movie unit. The trailer and the launch video, where Prabhas interacted with the crew members are trending on social media.
The trailer evoked a positive response from ace director SS Rajamouli, too. Sharing the Mathu Vadalara 2 trailer on his X account, the filmmaker praised the team for the super fun dialogue and vibrant visuals.

Overwhelmed with the response, Sri Simha said, “We thank Prabhas for taking the time and launching the trailer, he thoroughly enjoyed the trailer. Even Rajamouli is very happy with the overall output.”

Meanwhile, addressing the media, Sri Simha stated that the sequel would have double the fun of the first movie. The 2019 film dealt with the issue of drugs and murder. “In addition to the murder and drug tracks that were shown in the first part, the sequel explores more interesting layers.”
The trailer showcases Sri Simha, Satya, and Faria Abdullah as part of “He teams”, headed by Sunil, which deals with the crimes in the city.
Mathu Vadalara 2 is bankrolled by Cherry and Hemalatha Pedamallu under the Clap Entertainments banner. Leading Tollywood production house Mythri Movie Makers is presenting the movie. The music is composed by Kala Bhairva, whose tracks and background score in the first film were a big hit.
