Pawan Kalyan birthday: No special announcements about his films due to floods. (X)
In the wake of severe floods in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states, the birthday celebrations of Telugu actor and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan have been cancelled. Pawan Kalyan is learnt to have requested the makers of his highly-anticipated films—OG and Hara Hara Veera Mallu—to postpone the special announcements marking his birthday on Monday, 2 September.
Following this, team OG took to X on Sunday night, 1 September, to inform fans that they decided to cancel all the planned announcements, including the release date of the first single and the launch of a special poster.
“OG is a film that will be celebrated for years to come. Let’s get through this together and celebrate in a big way soon,” the filmmakers wrote on X.
Team OG revealed that the decision to postpone the birthday announcements was made following Pawan Kalyan’s request. They added that a new date for the special announcements would be revealed soon.
Directed by Sujeeth and produced by DVV Danayya of DVV Entertainment, OG also features Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi, Priyanka Arul Mohan, and Tamil actor Sriya Reddy in the main roles.
The film has music and background score by Thaman. It is slated for a worldwide release on 27 March 2025.
Due to the continuous rain and flood calamities in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, we have decided to call off all birthday content releases tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the makers of Hari Hara Veera Mallu Part 1: Sword vs Spirit also announced that they will not make any special announcements on Monday for Pawan Kalyan’s birthday. They said the decision was taken out of respect for those affected by the floods, and the updates will be shared at the appropriate time.
In August, team Hari Hara Veera Mallu started filming a massive war scene with around 400-500 fighters and junior artistes under action director Stunt Silva’s choreography.
Pawan Kalyan is playing a historical warrior outlaw in this two-part film, for the first time in his career. It casts Bollywood actor Bobby Deol in a crucial role.
It is helmed by directors Krish Jagarlamudi and Jyothi Krishna. The epic action drama is a pan-Indian venture that promises stellar performances, stunning VFX, and brilliant technical crafts.
Released in May, the teaser of Hari Hara Veera Mallu Part 1: Sword vs Spirit took the internet by storm. It has cinematography by Manoj Paramahamsa, art direction by Thota Tharani, and music by MM Keeravani.
A Dayakar Rao is producing the film. AM Rathnam is presenting it under his Mega Surya Productions banner. The first part will hit the screens soon in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, and Malayalam.
While we have planned an exciting poster for all the Power Fans, due to the ongoing severe floods, this is not the right time to celebrate, in keeping with Shri @PawanKalyan garu’s principles.
We hope everyone understands and cooperates.#HariHaraVeeraMallu
