Actor Naga Chaitanya’s next venture with director Karthik Dandu has officially started on Saturday, 26 April.
Announcing the same, the makers released a video giving the glimpse into the pre-production. They wrote on X: “After years of crafting, months of planning, and endless hours of rehearsing. #NC24 The Excavation Begins. Brace yourselves for the grand spectacle of a never-before-seen mythical thriller.”

The video features brief glimpses of the CGI process and production design, showcasing Naga Chaitanya actively collaborating with Karthik Dandu and the team.
The project is supposed to be a mythological thriller. The film tentatively titled NC 24 will be produced by SVCC and director Sukumar’s production house Sukumar writings. Sukumar, besides being the co-producer, is also the screenplay writer for the film.
Karthik Dandu’s last film Virupaksha too was a mystical thriller. The film collected over ₹100 crore at the box office. It starred Sai Durgha Tej and Samyukta in the lead roles.
Sharing the poster of NC 24 the makers earlier wrote: “He’ll delve into depths darker than ever. #NC24 – An excavation into Mythical Thrills & shivers.”
The poster of the film showed a man on a trek, most probably Naga Chaitanya, through the eye of an unidentified creature. According to reports, the film is said to have heavy CG work to bring out some visually challenging scenes. Neil D’Cunha will handle the cinematography, while Naveen Nooli will oversee the editing. Art director Sri Nagendra is part of this prestigious project. Ajaneesh B Loknath is composing music for NC 24.
Naga Chaitanya’s last film Thandel had received positive response from the audience.
