Music composers Vivek-Mervin to debut in Telugu with ‘RAPO22’

Actor Ram Pothineni has joined hands with director P Mahesh Babu for his next venture, tentatively titled RAPO 22. The film will be bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers.

Amid the growing anticipation for the film, the makers on Monday, 25 November, announced that the young Tamil music directors duo Vivek and Mervin will make their debut with this film in Telugu.

Sharing the news, the makers shared a one-minute video with snippets of the music composers’ previous works. Some of Vivek-Mervin’s most popular songsare “Orasaadha”, “Guleba”, “Chill Bro”, “Sandakari Neethan,” and “Pakkam Neeyum Illai”.

The makers wrote on X, “After setting the Tamil music scene on fire, the magical duo of Vivek-Mervin are all set for their blockbuster debut in Telugu. Vivek and Merin will add their musical brilliance to #RAPO22. Chartbuster album loading.”

Actor Ram Pothineni also welcomed the music composers. He wrote: “Welcoming the “New Sound of Telugu Cinema. Dear Vivek and Mervin I’m sure our people will welcome you with both hands after listening to the magic you’re creating for #RAPO22. Here’s to a beautiful career ahead in TFI.”

Mahesh Babu’s debut film Miss Shetty and Mr Polishetty (2023) starring Naveen Polishetty and Anushka Shetty had a good run at the box office, with the film being appreciated by critics and audiences alike.

Young actor Bhagyashree Borse will be seen opposite Ram Pothineni in this film. While the actor is known for action dramas, this film is expected to be an emotional drama. The movie started with a pooja ceremony in Hyderabad on 21 November.

Ram Pothineni was last seen in the sci-fi actioner Double iSmart, while Bhagyashri Borse made her Telugu debut earlier this year with Mr Bachchan.
