Ravi Teja’s highly anticipated film, Mr Bachchan, is set for a worldwide theatrical release on 15 August, alongside Ram Pothineni’s Double iSmart.
The recently released teaser for Mr Bachchan has been well-received, though there has been some criticism regarding the pairing of 55-year-old Ravi Teja with a much younger heroine. As anticipation grows, all eyes are now on the forthcoming theatrical trailer.
In a creative promotional effort, the team behind Mr Bachchan began to offer a “mass surprise” to the metro rail travellers in Hyderabad starting Thursday, 1 August.
An exciting announcement by Ravi Teja has fans and passengers buzzing: “Welcome to Hyderabad Metro Rail. Dear brothers, please pay attention. A ‘mass surprise’ awaits you on your journey. While you reach your destination, enjoy this lovely track from Mr Bachchan. Don’t forget to visit the theatres on 15 August to watch the film.”
Speculation is rife that the actor might be handling the metro rail arrival and departure announcements too, adding an exciting twist to the daily commute. However, this remains uncertain.
The innovative announcement in Hyderabad Metro Rail and the engaging teaser had fans eagerly awaiting Mr Bachchan. Ravi Teja’s star power and the film’s unique promotional strategies are set to make it a standout release this season.
Directed by Harish Shankar, known for his dynamic storytelling, the Telugu film is produced by TG Vishwa Prasad under the People Media Factory banner.
It features a soundtrack by Mickey J Meyer, which is anticipated to complement the high-octane action with its vibrant score. The movie marks the Tollywood debut of young actor Bhagyashri Borse.

Latest reports suggest that Netflix acquired the OTT rights for Mr Bachchan and will stream it after its theatrical run. An official announcement is still pending.
It appears Harish Shankar originally had no plans to release Mr Bachchan during the Independence Day weekend. However, due to the OTT release schedule and financial considerations, they were compelled to release it alongside Double iSmart.
Hearsay is that Netflix made a substantial investment in the OTT rights for the Ravi Teja-starrer and required its release by a specific date. Reports suggest the film will be available on OTT in the third week of September.
With Netflix’s Telugu film release schedule for 2024 set, they insisted on a release between 15 and 20 September. Consequently, Netflix’s demands led People Media Factory to schedule the release of Mr Bachchan for the Independence Day weekend.
