Telugu actor Mahesh Babu and his wife Namratha Shirodkar on Monday, 23 September, met with Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to hand a check of ₹50 lakh for flood relief efforts.
Apart from the ₹50 lakh cheque, Mahesh Babu’s AMB has also donated ₹10 lakh to the Telangana Chief Minister Relief Fund.
Appreciating the gesture, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy thanked the Telugu actor.
However, what caught the eye of the public was the new look of the actor.
Mahesh Babu was seen with long hair and a beard; the transformation is anticipated for the yet-to-be-titled magnum opus—SS Rajamouli’s forthcoming directorial SSMB29.

Rajamouli is known to transform his actors for his films, making the characters a milestone in the actors’ careers too.
Prabhas and Rana Daggubati reportedly gained and lost weight and underwent a severe physical transformation for the two parts of Baahubali (2015 and 2017). Similarly, Ram Charan and Jr NTR also underwent strenuous training to look at the parts in RRR (2022).
It is now time for the superstar Mahesh Babu to change his physical appearance for his next and it seems like the actor is already working on it.
Rajamouli has not revealed much about SSMB29, including the other cast members apart from Mahesh Babu.
It has been reported that Rajamouli has asked Mahesh Babu to complete the physical transformation, and in the meanwhile the film unit is set to shoot the VFX sequences.
Recently it was reported that Rajamouli has decided to kick off SSMB29 with VFX sequences. Like all other Rajamouli films, this too is expected to be high on VFX sequences.
The RRR director is also known to use high-end technologies in his films, always stepping up in his craft.
Similarly, SSMB29, which is reported to be a jungle adventure drama, is bound to involve a lot of VFX-based action sequences.
The report also suggested that the core cast of SSMB29 has been locked in. Previously, it was anticipated that Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran might be the antagonist. However, there has been no confirmation yet.
Primarily set to be filmed in the African jungles, SSMB29 is poised to be one of the most expensive films in Indian cinema, with a budget exceeding ₹1,000 crore.
Meanwhile, SSMB29 is set to have PS Vinod as its cinematographer. This comes as a surprise as Rajamouli has not opted for his trusted cameraman KK Senthil Kumar this time.
