Kannada actor Soundarya died in a tragic plane crash 22 years ago. However, the incident came to limelight once again, with a man from Khammam, Telangana, registering a complaint alleging foul play in the accident.
Soundarya died on 17 April, 2004, in a plane crash while flying to Karimnagar for a political event.
The man had named Telugu actor Mohan Babu in his complaint, stating that, the late actor was involved in a property dispute with Mohan Babu.
As the news was being reported widely, Soundarya’s husband, GS Raghu, has now stepped forward to dismiss these claims, calling them completely baseless.
According to a Telugu360 report, he issued an official statement saying that there were no land transactions involved between Mohan Babu and Soundarya. He also issued a clean chit to Mohan Babu saying that he has known him for the past 25 years.
According to the news report, the statement read: “I, Raghu GS, husband of the late Soundarya (Film Actress), would like to address recent false news circulating regarding a property in Hyderabad, allegedly involving Shri Mohan Babu sir and my wife. I want to firmly deny the baseless rumours concerning this property.”
Denying the property dispute rumours, he added, “To clarify, I confirm that Mohan Babu sir has never illegally acquired any property from my late wife, Soundarya. As far as I am aware, there have never been any land transactions between us and him. I have known Mohan Babu sir for over 25 years, and we share a strong and positive friendship. Our families, including my wife, mother-in-law, and brother-in-law, have always maintained a deep bond of mutual trust and respect.”
“I hold Mohan Babu sir in high regard, and I wanted to share the truth with all of you. We have always shared a close and respectful relationship with him. Once again, I would like to confirm that there have been no property transactions with Mohan Babu sir. Since this is entirely false news, I request everyone to stop spreading these incorrect rumours. Let us put an end to this matter at this point.”
