Jr NTR’s next project with director Prashanth Neel has set a release date. The untitled film, is set to release on 25 June, 2025.
Produced by Naveen Yerneni, Ravi Shankar Y, Kalyan Ram Nandamuri, and Hari Krishna Kosaraju under the Mythri Movie Makers and NTR Arts banners, the film, tentatively being referred to as NTRNeel, is expected to be a period drama.
Bhuvan Gowda is handling cinematography, while Ravi Basrur will compose the music.
Sharing the news on X, the makers wrote: “𝟮𝟱 𝗝𝗨𝗡𝗘 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲… The Most striking tale ever to erupt from the Soil of Indian Cinema. A special glimpse for the Man of Masses Jr NTR’s birthday.”

On 20 May, on the occasion of its leading man’s birthday, the makers are set to release the first glimpse. Jr NTR joined the sets on 22 April, in Karnataka.
While previously, the film had set 9 January 2026 as its release date, it will release now in June 2026, in multiple languages— Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam..
Given the high expectations surrounding the project, Prashanth Neel is believed to present Jr NTR in a new light. Although the film’s title has not been officially announced, it is rumoured to be named Dragon.
Prashanth Neel is known for his work on K.G.F: Chapter 1, K.G.F: Chapter 2, and Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire.
While Prashanth Neel has Salaar Part 2 in the pipeline, Jr NTR has Devara Part 2 and War 2 in the pipeline.
Jr NTR’s last film, Devara Part 1, was also his solo film after six years. His last movie with Ram Charan, Rajamouli’s magnum opus RRR (2022), gained global attention.
The two-part franchise, directed by Siva Koratala, is set against the backdrop of India’s forgotten coastal lands and features a significant amount of VFX.
