Jaat: Sunny Deol teams up with Telugu director Gopichand Malineni

The film titled 'Jaat', produced by Mythri Movie Makers and People Media Factory is expected to be yet another action entertainer.

Bollywood action hero Sunny Deol, known for action films like Gaddar is now working with a Telugu director Gopichand Malineni known for the Balakrishna starer Veera Simha Reddy (2023).

The film titled Jaat, produced by Mythri Movie Makers and People Media Factory is expected to be yet another action entertainer.

On the occasion of the actor’s 67th birthday, the makers released the poster and title of the film. The poster shows Sunny Deol holding a ceiling fan, akin to his famous scene from the 2001 hit Gaddar, in which he lifts off a hand pump.

The actor delivered a massive hit last year with Gaddar 2.

Sharing the poster, the actor wrote: “Introducing the man with national permit for MASSIVE ACTION. Sunny Deol in and as Jaat.”

Jaat also has Randeep Hooda, Vineet Kumar Singh, Saiyami Kher, and Regina Cassandra in key roles. SS Thaman is scoring the music for the film.

While Rishi Punjabi is heading the cinematography, the action choreography, is being handled by Anl Arasu, Ram Laxman, and Venkat.

According to reports Jaat is expected to be released on Republic Day 2025 and is already filming in Hyderabad.

Upcoming projects

After scoring a hit with the sequel of Gaddar, the actor is now also working on the sequel of Border, the war film based on 1971, Border 2.

Sunny Deol will also be seen in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi.

Sunny Deol’s roster also includes Shootout At Byculla, the third entry in the Shootout franchise. The film, directed by Sanjay Gupta and written by Rajat Arora, will tell the dramatic narrative of the JJ Hospital shootout in 1992.

Not only Sunny Deol, but his brother Bobby Deol also has been working in various South Indian films. The actor who garnered applause for his acting in Animal, is now part of Suriya’s Kanguva, Balakrishna’s NBK109, and Vijay’s Thalapathy 69.
