‘Isakapatnam’ series debuts on Prime Video at number 3

The series, spanning across seven episodes, is set in the 1990s in a costal town in Andhra Pradesh.

Isakapatnam, a Telugu crime thriller series released on Prime Video on July 2, has gotten off to a memorable start, ranking at number three on the platform.

The series features an ensemble cast led by leading actors Aishwarya Rajesh and Samuthirakani. Both of them have been involved in crime thriller series’ before, with Aishwarya appearing in Suzhal: The Vortex and Samuthirakani in Thadayam.

Sunil, Naresh Agastya, Merin Philip, Sudhakar Komakula, Rajeev Kanakala, Mime Gopi, Banerjee, Jwala Koti, Ravi Varma, Raja Chembolu, and several other talented actors are also part of the cast.

It is directed by Garry BH, with music composed by Praveen Lakkaraju and cinematography handled by Vamsi Patchipulusu.

The film is produced by Rahul Tamada and Saideep Reddy Borra under the banner of Tamada Media Productions.

Spanning across seven episodes, the series is set in the 1990s in a coastal town in Andhra Pradesh.

Isakapatnam has also received overwhelming appreciation from several leading personalities in the Telugu Film Industry, including producers Allu Aravind, D Suresh Babu, actors Teja Sajja, Naga Chaitanya, Sudheer Babu, and directors VV Vinayak, and Harish Shankar.

The series has also been appreciated for its storytelling, technical excellence, gripping twists, and authentic performances.

According to the OTT platform, the series is set in the port town of Isakapatnam, “Naidu rises from an outsider to the most feared man in the region – building his empire through port politics, crime, and sheer ruthlessness. As political rivalries, illegal trade, and shifting loyalties ignite intense drama, Naidu will stop at nothing to hold his ground. But his daughter Bharathi is beginning to question the true cost of it all,” the synopsis reads.
