Devara: Part 1 trailer promises a visual treat for Jr NTR fans

The much-anticipated trailer for Jr NTR’s forthcoming Telugu flick, Devara: Part 1, was launched by its makers at a grand event in Mumbai on Tuesday, 10 September. The trailer is packed with the mass and commercial elements that fans and action lovers crave.

It also reveals that the actor will play the dual role of a father and son in the Koratala Siva directorial.

The two-minute-39-second trailer for Devara: Part 1 begins with Prakash Raj introducing a coastal village filled with fearless people. Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan is shown as the menacing and cunning Bhairaa, who heads a gang of pirates that mercilessly murders naval officers while looting a ship.

And then, Jr NTR’s Devara character is introduced as the “Lord of Fear” who believes that all that a human being needs is enough courage to live and not to kill. He threatens to unleash terror if anyone gathers the courage to kill another.

Halfway through the trailer, Devara’s son is introduced as a timid person with whom Janhvi Kapoor’s Thangam is in love. The trailer also introduces Srikanth, Ajay, Getup Srinu, and other main actors.

The face-off glimpses in the trailer between Jr NTR and Saif Al Khan heighten the anticipation among fans and cineastes for Devara. Anirudh Ravichander’s brilliant background score further elevates the adrenaline-pumping action sequences.

The songs composed by the young musician have already topped the charts and added to the excitement.

Meanwhile, Jr NTR’s ferocious dialogues and scintillating screen presence in the trailer promised a visual treat for his fans and moviegoers alike. The trailer ends with the actor riding a shark, emphasising the efforts taken by the makers to offer stunning visual effects.

Devara is presented by Nandamuri Kalyan Ram and produced by Mikkilineni Sudhakar and Hari Krishna K under the banners of NTR Arts and Yuvasudha Arts. Sreekar Prasad is the editor, R Rathnavelu is the cinematographer, and Sabu Cyril is the production designer.

The film will hit the screens worldwide on 27 September in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam.

Meanwhile, the Koratala Siva film became the fastest Indian film to hit the ₹1-million mark in pre-sales in North America without a trailer release.
