Jr NTR is gearing up for the grand worldwide release of his next film, Devara Part 1, on 27 September. Directed by Koratala Siva, the Telugu movie will feature Bollywood actor Janhvi Kapoor opposite the RRR (2022) star. This is her debut film in Tollywood.
Amid the increasing anticipation, the Andhra Pradesh government on Saturday, 21 September, released a GO allowing permission to screen extra special shows and hike ticket prices.
The Andhra Pradesh government gave permission to screen six shows on the opening day, which can start as early as midnight on 27 September. However, from day 1 to the next nine days, it permitted five shows for Devara.
Coming to the price hikes, the tickets for the lower class, upper class, and multiplexes have been hiked by an additional ₹60, ₹110, and ₹135 respectively.
While it has been reported that the Telangana government, too, permitted special shows and price hikes for Devara, an official announcement has not been made yet.
According to a report in Eenadu, similar to Andhra Pradesh, the Telangana government has permitted special midnight shows for Devara: Part 1 on day 1, and six shows per day for the next 14 days.
The ticket prices have also been hiked by ₹50 for single screens, and an extra ₹100 for multiplexes.
Meanwhile, Devara recently crossed the $ 1.5-million mark for its premiere shows in the USA.
As Devara: Part 1 is nearing release, the film’s cinematographer Rathnavelu ISC took to X to share the hard work behind the ambitious project.
