Priyadarshi’s last release, Court – State vs A Nobody, had garnered appreciation from the audience and critics alike. After the successful theatre run, the film is now set to release for a wider audience through OTT.
The film will start streaming on Netflix on Friday, 11 April. While the official announcement has not been made yet, the OTT app, listed the film in their upcoming section. It is expected to be streaming in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi.
Apart from Priyadarshi, the courtroom drama featured Harsh Roshan and Sridevi in prominent roles. The film, directed by Ram Jagadeesh, was backed by Nani under his banner and produced by Prashanti Tipirneni.
According to the trading website Sacnilk, the film that was made on a budget of ₹6 crore earned more than ₹57 crore (gross) at worldwide box office.
According to the description of the film on Netflix, Court— State vs A Nobody is about a driven attorney who battles a corrupt justice system to defend a young man whose relationship with a 17-year-old girl provokes her ruthless family’s ire. The film dealt with the POCSO law.
Karthikeya Sreenivass and Vamsidhar Sirigiri co-wrote the screenplay, with Dinesh Purushothaman handling cinematography and Karthika Srinivas editing. The music was composed by Vijai Bulganin.
Meanwhile, Priyadarshi’s Sarangapani Jathakam, directed by Mohankrishna Indraganti, is also set for release on 18 April.
Roopa Koduvayur is starred opposite Priyadarshi. Produced by Sivalenka Krishna Prasad under Sridevi Movies.
Sarangapani Jathakam, touted to be a family entertainer, is about Sarangapani, an astrology enthusiast whose peaceful life is shaken by a chilling prediction. The teaser released in November 2024 blends humour and suspense, hinting at a story that explores themes of fate and free will.
