Chiranjeevi's first look from Vishwambhara out

The makers of Vishwambhara unveiled the first look of Chiranjeevi on his birthday on Thursday, 22 August. Directed by Vassishta Malladi and produced by UV Creations, the film marks Chiranjeevi’s 156th venture.

The first-look poster of Vishwambhara features the Megastar holding a powerful trident against a mountain backdrop, with the tagline, “When myths collide, legends rise”.

Scheduled for release on 10 January 2025, Vishwambhara is a socio-fantasy drama inspired by Hindu mythology. The Telugu movie stars Trisha, Ashika Ranganath, and Kunal Kapoor, reuniting Chiranjeevi and Trisha after 18 years since Stalin (2006).

Produced by V Vamsi Krishna Reddy, Pramod Uppalapati, and Vikram Reddy, the film promises a visually stunning experience, with 70 percent VFX and impressive world-building.

Oscar-winning composer MM Keeravani, who is scoring the tunes for the film, praised it as a great entertainer, likening it to Chiranjeevi’s earlier hit Gharana Mogudu (1992).

The cinematography is by Chota K Naidu and the production design is by AS Kumar, who created massive sets for this one. Vishwambhara is poised to be a grand cinematic experience.

Chiranjeevi celebrated his 69th birthday on 22 August, with celebrities like Allu Arjun, Venkatesh Daggubati, Jr NTR, Mahesh Babu, and Sudheer Babu along with fans honouring his remarkable career.

Recognised for his significant influence on Indian cinema, Chiranjeevi received the Padma Bhushan in 2006 and the Padma Vibhushan in 2024.

The actor began his acting journey in 1979 with Punadhirallu and rose to fame with Khaidi (1983). On his birthday, celebrities took to X to celebrate him.

In a candid interview, Chiranjeevi expressed his desire to play more mature roles like Venkatesh in Drushyam (2014) or Kamal Haasan in Vikram (2022) without the pressure of dancing or performing stunts. However, he noted, “Audiences still want me to dance, fight, and entertain, so those are the scripts I continue to receive.”

When asked if it’s challenging to find engaging scripts at this stage of his career, Chiranjeevi admitted, “That struggle has always been there. I’ve often wondered if directors would offer me something new, but I still receive fresh and interesting scripts.”
