Telugu Megastar K Chiranjeevi has added another feather to his cap. On Sunday, 22 September, he was honoured with the Guinness World Record as the Most Prolific Film Star of Indian Cinema.
The certificate was handed over to Chiranjeevi by a representative of the Guinness World Records and Bollywood star Aamir Khan.
The certificate presented read: “The most prolific film star in the Indian Film Industry—actor/dancer is Konidela Chiranjeevi aka Mega Star achieved on 20 September 2024.”
While presenting the honour, the Guinness World Record representatives noted that Chiranjeevi performed 24,000 dance moves in 537 songs in his 156 films in a span of 45 years.
Guinness World Records adjudicator Richard Stenning noted, “After thoroughly reviewing all 156 films and his dance performances, we found this achievement to be officially amazing.”
Amir Khan, who shared the dias with Chiranjeevi at the event, claimed that he considers the latter his elder brother. Speaking of the invitation, Amir Khan said, “I don’t know why Chiranjeevi Garu asked me to come, he should just order instead.”
The event was also attended by other film personalities and Chiranjeevi’s family members including K Raghavendra Rao, Sai Durgha Tej, Vaishnav Tej, and Varun Tej.
Meanwhile, Chiranjeevi took to X to share his gratitude for receiving the prestigious award. In his tweet, He thanked all directors, producers, musicians choreographers, film fraternity, family, fans, well-wishers, media, politicians, and audiences for making this possible.

A couple of days ago, Chiranjeevi star was announced as the recipient of this year’s prestigious ANR National Award.
The award, instituted by the Akkineni International Foundation in honour of legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao (ANR), will be presented to the actor during a grand event on 28 October.
In May 2024, Chiranjeevi was honoured with the Padma Vibhushan, the second-highest civilian distinction conferred for exceptional and distinguished service, alongside Indian cinema icon Vyjayanthimala.
