Trailer of Trisha's Brinda out

The trailer for Brinda, Trisha Krishnan’s streaming debut, has been released. The crime thriller will premiere on SonyLIV on 2 August, in multiple languages including Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Bengali, and Hindi.

Produced by Adding Advertising LLP, Brinda, follows a female cop battling misogyny and personal struggles.

Directed by Surya Vangala and co-written by Vangala and Padmavathi Malladi, Brinda features an ensemble cast including Anand Sami, Indrajith Sukumaran, Jayaprakash, Aamani, Ravindra Vijay, and Rakendu Mouli.

Trisha stars in an author-backed role as a sub-inspector in a small Andhra Pradesh police station, presenting a serious and no-nonsense demeanour.

The trailer of Brinda begins with Trisha’s character being suspended for her failure to solve a murder case. Flashbacks reveal how she is underestimated but eventually succeeds in apprehending the criminal.

The makers plan special events to promote Brinda, but for now, Trisha’s striking new avatar has already captured attention and left viewers eager for more.

The teaser, which was out some time ago, opens with a young girl about to be burned at the stake in a ritual. A voiceover says, “Our battle isn’t against the anger and betrayal within us, but against letting our goodness fade.”

The promo suggests a gripping drama about the clash between good and evil.

Director Surya Vangala stated that Brinda aims to captivate viewers while encouraging them to reflect on their beliefs.

“It’s a compelling, female-led narrative, and I’m thrilled to direct this series. Brinda’s character unfolds in complex layers throughout the story. Working with Trisha Krishnan has been a pleasure, and with Brinda, we aim to redefine the genre and push boundaries in the Telugu industry,” Surya Vangala said.

The series’ music is composed by Shakthikanth Karthick, with Avinash Kolla as the production designer, Dinesh K Babu handling cinematography, and Anwar Ali as the editor.

Trisha, who last appeared in Leo (2023), also has upcoming projects like Vidaa Muyarchi, Ram, Identity, and Thug Life.
