All about the rift between Allu Arjun and Sukumar

Allu Arjun is known for his stylish, ever-changing looks. But he has kept a dense beard since starting Sukumar’s Pushpa franchise. While travelling from Hyderabad to Doha, a passenger filmed him with a slightly trimmed beard and, all hell broke loose!

A leaked video has fans speculating that he hasn’t changed his hair or beard since 2020, maintaining his Pushpa Raj look. This sparked concerns that Pushpa: The Rule, already postponed from 15 August to 6 December, might miss its December deadline.

As fans await the release of this action drama, unconfirmed reports suggest that the movie might face further delays due to disagreements between Allu Arjun and director Sukumar.

Despite the new beard style, Allu Arjun’s haircut remained consistent with his appearance in Pushpa. It’s also possible that the team is exploring a different look for a specific segment of the film.

The absence of updates from team Pushpa: The Rule and rumours of a rift between Sukumar and Arjun have added to the chaos.

Reports suggest that Allu Arjun is frustrated with frequent shoot disruptions and unscheduled breaks. Meanwhile, director Sukumar is currently in the United States, reportedly taking time to refocus on the big-budget movie. It’s unclear whether Sukumar’s trip to the US is for personal reasons or related to the film.

While no official announcement has been made regarding a new release date, these developments have sparked speculation about the postponement of Pushpa 2.

Pushpa 2 to be released as planned

Some reports suggest that Allu Arjun and Sukumar are close friends and have no issues, countering rumours of the film’s delay. According to these reports, Pushpa 2 will be released as scheduled on 6 December.

Earlier this month, a source informed Deccan Chronicle that the filmmaker plans to finish shooting by 31 August. “The action-adventure is scheduled to wrap up within 60 days, aiming for 31 August as the final day of filming,” the source stated.

They also mentioned that the team is working tirelessly to meet this ambitious deadline.

Meanwhile, South First learnt that Sukumar plans to complete the Pushpa 2 shooting by October at the latest, allowing time for promotions.

Also starring Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj, and Sunil, Pushpa: The Rule is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Yalamanchili Ravi Shankar.

With a budget of ₹500 crore, the sequel continues from where the first film left off. Pushpa: The Rise, released in 2021, grossed over ₹360 crore at the box office.
