Now that the summer vacation has begun, Telugu film lovers are eagerly looking forward to getting entertained in theatres this May. Here’s a look at the prominent Telugu movies releasing this month:
Allari Naresh, who is slowly transforming his image from a comedy hero to a regular star, is coming up with Ugram on 5 May.
Touted to be an action drama, Ugram already piqued the interest of audiences, thanks to its interesting trailers and promos.
Allari Naresh once again teamed up with director Vijay Kanakamedala who gave the actor a super hit in the form of Naandhi (Beginning, 2021). It helped Naresh get an image makeover.
In Ugram, the actor will be seen as a good cop. It is produced by Sahu Garapati and Harish Peddi. Sricharan Pakala is the music director.
Senior hero Gopichand is coming up with a high-voltage action and family drama titled Rama Banam on 5 May.
The film also casts Dimple Hayati, Jagapati Babu, and Kushboo Sundar in important roles.
Sriwass, who earlier delivered two hits – Lakshyam (Target, 2007) and Loukyam (Diplomacy, 2014) with Gopichand – collaborated with the actor again for Rama Banam.
It has been a long time since Gopichand delivered a hit. Therefore, he is pinning all his hopes on Rama Banam for the revival of his career.

Custody also features Krithi Shetty, Priya Mani, and Arvind Sami in key roles.
Its trailers and teasers have been well-received by the audience.
Romantic and family entertainer Anni Manchi Sakunamule (AMS) is releasing on 18 May. Starring young actors Santosh Shoban and Malavika Nair, the movie promises to be a clean family entertainer.
