Telugu films in Sankranti 2023 race: Can you guess the winner already?

In the race are star heroes Nandamuri Balakrishna, megastar Chiranjeevi, Prabhas, and Thalapathy Vijay. There is also a small fish in the pond — Akkineni Akhil.

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s 154^th film is all set to hit the screens for Sankranti. The title and teaser were released on Diwali. Directed by Gopichand Malineni, the movie has Ravi Teja in a key role.

Over two decades ago, Ravi Teja and Chiranjeevi worked together in Annayya (2000). In the movie, Ravi Teja played the megastar’s younger brother.

Now that they’re teaming up again, expectations are running high as fans are waiting for a touch of vintage Chiranjeevi!

Veera Simha Reddy

Director Gopichand Malineni, who is helming Nandamuri Balakrishna’s upcoming film Veera Simha Reddy, confirmed recently that the actor’s fans are going to have a blast this Sankranti in the theatres.

The makers recently unveiled a glimpse of the film which uplifted the spirits of Balayya’s fans. Shruti Haasan is playing the lead lady in the movie. She has collaborated with Balakrishna for the first time.

Adipurush

Prabhas badly needs a hit. After scoring a blockbuster hit across the world with Baahubali, the actor rose to great heights.

But then, both his successive films — Saaho and Radhe Shyam — turned out to be disasters. Needless to say, his fans and admirers are visibly upset with the flops.

Now, Prabhas is going to scorch the silver screen with Adipurush, possibly the most-awaited film of this lot.

This mythological drama, directed by Om Raut, has Krithi Sanon playing Sita and Saif Ali Khan playing Ravanasura.

Varasudu

Tamil actor Vijay Thalapathy’s much-awaited Telugu debut film Varasudu completed shooting recently and is currently in the post-production stage.

Directed by Vamsi Paidipally, the flick has Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead.

The movie will release in Tamil Nadu as Varisu. Dil Raju and Shirish are producing it under their production house Sri Venkateswara Creations. The promotions will kick-start in November.

Prabhu, Sarath Kumar, Prakash Raj, Jayasudha, Srikanth, Shaam, Yogi Babu, Sangeetha and Samyuktha are the other prominent stars of Vaarasudu.

Agent

The makers of Akhil Akkineni-starrer Agent unveiled the release date poster on the occasion of Diwali. The spy action thriller will hit the cinema halls for Sankranti 2023.

Sharing the release date poster, Akhil wrote, “Get caught up on all the ACTION #Agent Arriving in theatres WorldWide this SANKRANTHI 2023.”

The young actor looked terrific in the poster. He sported a blue-striped suit. His beard and curly-short bob hairstyle with a serious appeal are drawing wide attention to the flick.
